About Midgard
Renowned for unparalleled functionality, expert quality, and inventive design, Midgard is a German lighting company with a rich history. Founded in 1919 by engineer Curt Fischer, when he found his own workspace lighting insufficient, Midgard would soon go on to create the first articulated, adjustable lamps. These earliest designs then made their way to the Bauhaus under Walter Gropius, where they were developed into several different modern versions for desk and home applications. Even today, the sleek, timeless look of these multifunctional lighting pieces is matched only by fine attention to craftsmanship and detail.
